GROUP PERSONAL ACCIDENT POLICY
Group Personal Accident Insurance offers protection against financial consequences of the death or disablement of an employee arising from accident caused by outward violent and visible means. Cover could be arranged on a “24-hour” basis to apply to all accident whether at work or at home while travelling or during recreation.
The following benefits will be provided under this policy:
(a) Death
This aspect of the cover is usually used to augment the benefit under the Group Life cover and the benefit is payable upon injury resulting in loss of life caused by accident only.
Permanent Disablement
Death apart, an employee may be permanently disabled (e.g bed-ridden) as a result of accident.
Temporary Disablement
In the event of accident resulting in temporary disablement, a specific sum is payable per week as long as the disablement persist but not exceeding 104 weeks.
Medical Expenses
This provides for reimbursement of surgeon’s fees, hospital bills, cost of drugs and other medical bills (e.g. up to N50,000.00 per member) as expenses incurred as a result of accident.
